Review of ABCs of Death 2 (2014) by Mark W — 21 Jul 2015
A stronger effort than its messy predecessor , ABC's Of Death 2 achieves a much more consistent string of hits than misses. The advantage of 26 shorts is that the bad ones don't overstay their welcome, yet together, unfortunately , still manage to somewhat spoil the riper picks of the bunch.
Z is for Zygote stands out as arguably the best short, adding a skin crawling, surreal and beatifully grisly spin to a familiar tale of abandonment. Whether the handful of really choice cuts are worth suffering through is really a matter of taste, yet these efforts deserve to be enjoyed just as much as the bad ones be ridiculed.
Decent.
