Review of Abattoir (2016) by Jon M — 19 Dec 2016
Where to start?
The movement upon the characters is tight and swift. The opening scene sets the mood for the plot line to unveil itself. Once the plot line starts to move then we find out the actual truth behind the characters. In all honesty, this is a movie for ghost lovers. If you love ghosts, and are patient enough to wait, and wait for the story line to kick up this is a movie for you. Im a die hard horror fan, and im gonna be nice on this one and give it 3 stars. The acting is Great, the story line is trash. And the ultimate ending that you are waiting for is no where to be found. Its worth a watch on netlfix, but save your money otherwise. I liked don't breath better then this movie, and I thought that movie was trash.
The characters themselves did a excellent performance, the story had a good build, but then went off on a tangent. The real horror behind watching this movie is waiting for it to end. I love a good ghost story, don't get me wrong. But the idea for this movie could have been much more detailed. The rising action drags on, then the falling actions roughly abrupts out of no where. I honestly had a hard time getting through this movie. But if you're a horror fan, its a good watch. The trailer overhyped this movie for something its not worth. I would have to say 2.5 stars out of 5.
