A reporter, Julia (Jessica Lowndes) had just discovered that her sister as well as her entire family had been savagely killed in her own home. And although the perpetrator had been caught she became curious in terms of the explanation and decides to wanting to return back to the scene of the crime, but yet she would then find out that the house had already been sold and that the room where her sister and her family were butchered was completely removed or completely cut out like it never existed.

along with her ex-boyfriend, who happens to be a police officer, they would then go back to the town where she was originally came from with a connection between her sister's death and their biological mother.
