Yeah, I know I don?t have a life, writing three reviews in one day. Neither do you if you are reading this. LOL! If you are new to reading my ratings, never mind then. LOL! Don?t worry I?m just blathering. LOL! Any who! I rented the movie "Abandon". Let me tell you this, if you have read the book, don't see this movie at all. On the cover of the book, had an advertisement which stated, "Abandon" now a motion picture with Katie Holmes and Benjamin Bratt. I thought, oh great I'll read the book and then see it on DVD. I read the book and it was good but not great. It had a rushed ending. So, I rented the movie version today. Um! The only two things the movie had in common with the book was the title and it took place on a college campus. That is it! I decided to give the movie a chance. The movie was ok. The movie didn't explain a lot of things. In my opinion it could have been better, such as stick with the contents of the book. I waited for the end of the movie to see who actually wrote it. Thinking maybe they just messed up and accidentally put that advertisement on the book. No, it was by the same author but the story was adapted from another book he wrote. So, I'm thoroughly confused. Did the director mesh the two stories together or what? I hope I'm not the only anal person who found this appalling. I would not recommend this to any one especially if you read the book. I must say though the cast did do a good job. There is some extra stuff on the DVD but nothing to explain what happened. Or am I missing something here? No, don't answer that. LOL!.
