Review of A Year Without Love (2005) by David H — 31 Dec 2006
A gay man who struggles to find love and live with AIDS during the '60's. Somewhat disturbing being reminded of not only the prevalence of the disease but also of the casual treatment by the main character; i.
E., even though at first he refuses medical treatment, then finds it disgusting and finally eroticizes it, he still engages in casual sex. Some parts of the film are not clear but I suppose they were not really needed for the main theme of the main character eroticizing both his mental and physical pain.
