I do not understand all the negative reviews. I watched it in theater with the kids and enjoyed it. I think the criticism towards Oprah is unfair. She had a small but important role and she did full justice to the character.
Same for Reese Witherspoon. She was fine in her role. I have not read the book so cannot compare. But did not find any portion of the movie boring.
