When they announced this movie would be progressive, I was so happy. At last, an adaption which got rid of all the things that had made the book appealing! I was not disappointed. The Christian elements from the Christian author were thoroughly expunged. Also, they made sure not to make it too exciting, because that's toxic masculinity, not to mention sexist and racist.
I was only sad to see they still had *some* white people in it.
