A visually stunning family film. Generally flat performances that adhere to a formulaic storyline, there's a solid plot that could be a basis for further exploration about social pressures, gender roles, and social expectations.

Direction lacks subtleties; lots of in your face "oh my, look who we got to play this role" scenes, but entertaining.
