Well, I give them credit for trying to make a movie out of an incredible book, but...this really fell short of the material. I was impressed by the three main kids, but just about everything else was pretty substandard.
I really REALLY wanted to love this movie, but in the end, I'm afraid I just couldn't. Maybe if I hadn't loved the book so much, if I'd come into this not expecting it to be a faithful adaptation of the book, I could have enjoyed it more.
