Review of A Woman Under the Influence (1974) by Cory B — 05 Jan 2010
It's long, it's amateur, and it's kind of boring for a bit. But once you understand what's going on, and -why- it's going on, you can't peel yourself away. Rowlands and Falk give excruciatingly sincere and visceral performances; it's truly a fly-on-the-wall look at marital discourse, family issues, and your wife being totally fucking insane! Cassavetes best, and one of my top one hundred.
