Review of A Wizard's Tale (2018) by Michaelb23 — 17 Sep 2018
I liked this movie a lot more than I thought I would. The film’s plot goes something like this: just after learning that his amusement park is set to close, a young boy is whisked away to a magical land called Groovynham (great name by the way) where he must find a way to restore happiness to the kingdom and save his amusement park too.
Overall, it’s one funny movie. The part where they visit the coffee shop run by a bunch of balloons made me laugh especially hard. Great writing there (though that should be no surprise to anyone, since the writer, Jim Hecht, also wrote Ice Age 2).
If you’re looking for an amazing adventure suitable for younger kids, give A Wizard’s Tale a shot.
