A great movie with themes of lost, love, and cats. At first Miyo seems obsessed with Kento and comes off as extremely unhealthy and creepy. But later it contextualizes it with her relationship to Kento as a cat and her mother who divorced and left her at a very young age.
The antagonist was actually quite fun and the story perfectly captures the aura of old Folk Lore tales. Another well wrote character was Miyo's Stepmother's cat (Hilarious as it sounds) who turns out to be a major part of the story later on and mirrors Miyo's self realizations.
