Review of A Walk to Remember (2002) by Karen C — 02 Apr 2013
I loved it. It was full of love, hope, faith, and the best thing of all, and one aspect I always want in a movie, that the main character learned from his mistake and changed for the better. Also I was surprised with Mandy Moore, she was easy to root for, had a meek, yet strong spirit, was personable yet quiet and reflective, her character was very multi-faceted despite her quiet nature.
I loved Landon, how he changed from cocky and selfish, to a complete opposite person, even standing up for whats right in the face of adversity and standing up for Mandy to his friends. I love chick flicks, and this definitely was one.
One thing to to caution, it has some inappropriate language and gestures, from Landon's friends, which I was iffy about, but quickly grew to like the movie because it really contrasted from the love and purity Mandy had, and soon rubbed off on Landon.
So it wasn't gratuitous, the bad bits. Anyway, fours stars, I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you. :).
