Review of A Walk to Remember (2002) by Ian P — 22 Aug 2013
A feel-good romantic and drama movie that I think every moviegoers and romantic film fans will surely like. Basically, a teen romance story adapted from fame writer Nicholas Sparks novel of the same title, it goes melodramatic and tearjerker when it takes on a serious moments and conflicts by the half of the film.
Beware to shed tears on this movie. Shane West and Mandy Moore play perfect as the leads of the story and has a romantic chemistry that worked well in the movie. The prominent use of songs made this film memorable among Sparks romantic movies.
It also did not forget to include beautiful scenes and settings in the film - a trademark in Sparks movies. A Walk to Remember is also a notable romance movie among Sparks novel-to-movie adaptations because of its high recall of its theme songs.
Who wouldn't forget Mandy Moore's signature hits of "Cry" and "Only Hope" as well as "Someday We'll Know" because of this movie? By the end of the movie, it shares that love changes us.
.. even after our loved ones have gone.
