Review of A Walk in the Woods (2015) by Kathy A — 31 Aug 2015
I'm surprise at the 50% rating ...I just saw a screening last night and loved it!!OMG Robert Redford is 79 years old!?!?....obviously he has aged since we all fell in love with Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid but for 79 he is truly in fantastic shape! Okay so back to the movie.
...FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY...except for a couple of Nick Nolte's lines this would have been PG-13 family friendly. Kids won't get the humor behind some of the jokes on the aging process though or the sexual innuendo that was hilarious.
Overall the movie was a hoot...I laughed out loud throughout the movie as well as the rest of the audience. There was some really funny antics and these two guys Robert Redford and Nick Nolte did a great job portraying some oldsters taking on the challenges of the great Appalachian Trail.
Nick Nolte is hilarious huffing and puffing is way up the trail while struggling with the cards life dealt him versus the picture perfect life Redford's character was blessed with. Go see the movie.
..it is a fun escape along some beautiful scenery! (Spoken just like an oldster myself).
