Disappointing and not at all realistic. Anyone who has gone backpacking will be disappointed, as will anyone who was delighted by Mr. Bryson's charming book. Just for starters, the packs don't look heavy enough for such a trek, they keep their hiking poles strapped to their packs the whole time rather than use them, and Mr.
Redford starts giving little nature lectures at random points in the journey that seem to come completely out of the blue and don't flow with the film or the characters.
