Review of A Walk in the Woods (2015) by Mike F — 06 Sep 2015
What a missed opportunity.
I've never understood why film makers insist on adding stuff when they have a wealth of source material to work with.
The film does a reasonable job of nodding to the book on a regular basis and there are a number of favorite lines and characters who have made it into this adaptation. However, this is a very lazy film that reuses footage and makes no real attempt to show the difference in states. It also will grate anyone who hikes or who has read the book to watch actors throw their packs around like they do not weigh anything.
Read the book or better yet listen to the audio book which Bryaon himself a narrates.
