Review of A Walk in the Woods (2015) by Sammy C — 10 Sep 2015
This movie wasn't the best, but it did something most movies I've seen lately haven't; it was comfortable with itself. In other movies I feel like the script tries too hard to involve elements they shouldn't and ultimately fails.
This movie did none of that. Instead it created a light hearted and campy sort of tone throughout, and never tried to be anything it wasn't. There are no long dialogues about life and how fleeting it is, or some sob story about why two friends broke a part.
Instead, A Walk In The Woods pulls out cliched lines and delivers them without the feeling that they were cliche. I wouldn't give this movie five stars though, because despite how great it is, its not perfect.
Just give it a shot though. Its better than it looks.
