Review of A Walk in the Woods (2015) by Denise E — 01 Oct 2015
So bad on so many levels. If you love Bill Bryson, as I do, you will weep for the travesty of this piece of crap. Why? Why did Robert Redford possibly think he could pull this off? Not only is the script no where close to the genius of Bryson's work, it's down right pathetic.
The acting is nearly passable. Nolte can hardly be understood, Redford is wooden and boring. The only saving grace is the perfect depiction of Mary Ellen by Kristen Schaal. Horrible movie. Sad to do such an injustice to a truly beautiful book.
