Review of A Walk in the Woods (2015) by Steve S — 14 Jan 2016
Although this may be the lowest score I've ever rated a movie, it's not my most hated (strange, I know). It has a great cast: Robert Redford, Nick Nolte, Emma Thompson (probably the best performance in the film), plus appearances by Kristen Schaal, Nick Offerman, and Mary Steenburgen.
It's just...not much happens. Redford & Nolte struggle along on their hike and they also meet some people, but they don't struggle too much because they keep making progress somehow. That's it.
Apparently, this was adapted from a novel, but they probably should've just left it as a novel.
