Various cliches and weak villains hold A Walk Among The Tombstones down from becoming a near perfect crime thriller. Liam Neeson's performance carries the film, though one should not discount the rest of the fantastic ensemble, nor the well rounded and indulgent screenplay or the fantastic sets, designs and costumes; few 2014 crime thrillers are this engaging and engrossing for the duration of their run time.
