Review of A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) by Renato G — 13 Oct 2014
I had really high hopes for A Walk Among the Tombstones but honestly they didn't meet. We learn that Liam Neeson is an ex cop who occasionally does favors for people (Sound familiar?). He is needed for the crime of Kenny's wife being taken.
The story line was a bit all over and got me confused at times. It can get really lost in itself for all the different names that are mentioned when nobody in the movie really says "Hey Peter" and someone turns around so we actually remember who Peter is.
Liam Neeson was just typical Liam Neeson, nothing too special in terms of his or anyone else's acting. The thing you do go to see is the action and storyline when it makes sense. The last 45 minutes were very intense and graphic too.
We get to know more and more about the villain throughout each scene, whether that be a good or bad buildup is your choice. The phone calls that the victims get are creepy cool. I can honestly say its the action that you see this movie for.
It's a pretty okay film, some will enjoy it some won't. If you really like Liam Neeson and a lot of crazy action this movie is for you. C.
