Review of A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) by Ian G — 20 Dec 2014
Liam Neeson is cranking them out and does a serviceable job if familiar now as a grizzled vilgilante/action-thriller star as a former cop turned private dick and recovering alcoholic with a past who is brought into the seedy underworld of a drug trafficing ring to investigate the disappearing of a key figures wife only to find out that it is one of a series of grizzly murders/kidnappings.
Averagely made and not as gripping as some of his Neesons other recent films of the oeuve, Still flys by and Neeson is as enjoyable in his steely way here. Escapist entertainment in that pulpy detective genre if anything but not a game changer by any stretch of the imagination.
