Review of A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) by Dann M — 14 Apr 2015
A Walk Among the Tombstones is a gritty crime film based on a bestselling book series. The story follows Matt Scudder, a former cop turned private investigator, who's hired by a drug trafficker to find the men that abducted and killed his wife.
Liam Neeson gives a solid performance; though he's more or less playing his standard on-the-edge, action-hero character. Still, overall the characters are well-written, and there's a lot of intrigue to the plot.
Yet there are some pacing issues, and the murder mystery is a little convoluted. But despite having a few problems, A Walk Among the Tombstones is a suspenseful and intense noir thriller.
