Review of A View to a Kill (1985) by Anis T — 06 Nov 2008
This is a pretty bad James Bond movie, I don't know where to start with this one on where they went wrong with this. Whether it is Roger Moore looking way too old to be an action hero, Connery was the same way in Never Say Never Again (and he was done with the series when he did Diamonds are Forever). Maybe it's Grace Jones as Mayday, Zorin's hench(wo)man, looking like a drag queen then suddenly helps Bond just to follow the Bond Formula. Or maybe it's the unnecessary camp: snowboarding to California Girls or maybe it was the fire truck chase throughout the streets of San Francisco that was only for sight gags.
Not horrible, it's just bad, it was just one Roger Moore Bond movie too many. A series that soon get some new blood, a new Bond, and a new attitude.
