Review of A View to a Kill (1985) by Colin F — 15 Oct 2009
This instalment in the James Bond series has always been described as one of the worst, to be honest I do not know why I think itâ??s a great film. Ok Roger Moore is almost pushing 100! In this one and has overstayed his welcome by a couple of films and pulling women old enough to be his grandaughter, but if you can get past that itâ??s a very enjoyable film.
Christopher Walken is one of the best villains ever as the ruthless Zorin, at last a real villain not one with a cat or dodgy one liners. Grace Jones is even good as the henchwoman Mayday, its just somebody you would not mess with. Great sequences sometimes let down by dodgy special effects, ok we know its not Roger Moore snowboarding but at least make it a bit more convincing. Great ending.
The story as usual is a bit far fetched about Silicon chips, but no way is this the worst ever James Bond film as it has been described, Check out Die Another Day if you want the worst. Great song my Duran Duran too, one of my favourites.
