A View to a Kill was the last film to star Roger Moore in the role of James Bond, and after watching the movie, you can understand why he never wanted to come back. To be fair, the movie isn't a total waste of time and effort, but it certainly isn't a strong effort.

The movie is also unintentionally funny at nearly every turn that it's head-scratching. I'm not sure how intentional it was, but given the history of this franchise, I'd say it wasn't.

Christopher Walken is also a terrible Bond villain. He's like a guard dog without its teeth in this movie, and his comic-inducing sidekick/lover Grace Jones doesn't help matters much. The movie's plot is slightly refreshing for the franchise, but it just goes down familiar territory again and again.

As I've stated elsewhere, I'm not an enormous fan of this series so I don't know everything about it, but this one is a good example of why they need to let the series lay dormant sometimes.

The creative juices can get flowing again and better work comes about because of it. Overall, it's not a crap movie, but it's not perfect either.
