Review of A View to a Kill (1985) by Orlando D — 08 Mar 2013
Seriously one of the weakest James Bond entries. This is the final appearance of Roger Moore as 007 and it ends with a whimper not a bang. Just as campy as Moonraker but not nearly as fun as it should be.
Here, Bond(Moore) must stop a crazed computer tycoon(Christopher Walken, one of the film's true saving graces.) from flooding Silicon Valley and having total domination of microchips. What should have worked in it's favor doesn't including a terrible Bond Girl(a blank looking Tanya Roberts.
)Patrick MacNee and Grace Jones are wasted, in the few minutes they are on screen is when the film comes to life. It features good stunts and action scenes and a wonderful theme song(courtesy of Duran-Duran)a re-write of the script and scenes edited, this would have worked.
