Review of A View to a Kill (1985) by Gus S — 10 Jan 2009
One of the worst Bond films drudges along through a pile of loosely connected scenes and terrible dialogue. Although Roger Mooreâ??s age is beginning to show (this was his last 007 film) he still holds up as well as his earlier films.
Christopher Walken was a great choice for a Bond villain, but it is unfortunate that he was chosen for this movie. He is underused and his character is barely developed to the point that Walkenâ??s talent is invisible.
There is never really a clear directive in the plot and the action scenes are sub par (except for the exciting climax on the Golden Gate Bridge - the highlight of the movie). There is also a shameful amount of product placement, more than I have ever seen in a movie.
