Review of A View to a Kill (1985) by Marco F — 22 Nov 2013
It's better than Moonraker, and that's really sad to know that's the nicest thing I can say on the whole. Roger Moore is way too freaking old at this point, the plot is a rip off of Goldfinger, Midge from That 70'S Show as a geologist (nuff said), and on top of all that it's BORING! SO BORING! How do you make Christopher Walken boring in a movie?! He should have been a great Bond villain but he's so uninteresting to watch, these are not the words to use when describing Walken in movies.
The good, the fire truck chase is kinda cool and John Barry's music is fantastic. I swear Barry realized this movie was terrible and tried to write one of his best scores to let the audience know at least HE was trying.
Second worst of the series, now on to Dalton where the quality returns.
