Review of A View to a Kill (1985) by Rob Ó — 21 Oct 2012
Unfairly under-rated. While Moore is certainly too old and lacks the credibility he had in his first five(ish) films, his charm and charisma makes up for it in spades as well as his chemistry with stars Patrick Macnee and Tanya Roberts (yes, that's right, I don't think she's that bad).
For my money, all of the action is thrilling, the plot is clever and relevant and the pacing is pretty much perfect.
Christopher Walken is one of the best villains of the entire series and John Barry's score is as brilliant and beautiful as ever. It was certainly time at this point to move on in a different (Dalton) direction, but Moore's swansong is as delightfully entertaining as ever. See you later Roger old boy.
