A Very Murray Christmas stars a talented cast, has some great covers of classic Christmas songs including some less well-known ones and is better than the average holiday TV special but the 56-minute long special never quite lives up to what it had promised, doesn't have lots of laughs and even by the standards of a special, some of its actors don't have enough screen time especially poor Michael Cera whose screen time is limited to an extended cameo where he briefly mentions The Monuments Men, a movie which Murray was in when famous actor George Clooney is mentioned.
