Review of A Very Long Engagement (2004) by Liam D — 09 Jun 2009

I thought I was going to hate this one as it starts off in a very grim, cheerless fashion that I wasn't in the mood for when I watched it. However, it soon brightens up and the story becomes quite intriguing despite the film being a bit overlong and not seeming to know quite what it wants to be.

Also, the acting and cinematography are pretty damn good...
