This is one of the most beautiful and magical love stories I have seen. A brilliant work from Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and amazing performances from the entire cast. The film paints an extraordinary picture of the devotion of love.
But "A Very Long Engagement" is not just a love story--it is also about the pains of war, and the courage of the human spirit to hope, despite all the odds. A must see. This is definitely now one of my favourite films.
