Review of A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas (2011) by Roxanne R — 24 Feb 2012
Almost 70% of critics LIKED this film!! You have got to be kidding me!! Back in my college days I remember the Harold and Kumar films and associate them with White Castle burgers because they loved those.
.what I had forgotten is that they were potheads so when I rented the blu-ray version of this one, I noticed in the first 15 mins of the film that joints and drugs were going to play an integral role in the film.
.It was funny but I have outgrown the Harold and Kumar saga..and for the record I choose Harold, he has definitely matured. Let's hope Kumar returns to medical school and leaves his "glorious" pothead days behind.
The film is funny at times, raunchy, but I feel it targets the 17-25 age demographic. College kids will love it like I used to but now that I am more mature and my priorities have changed, this may be the last Harold and Kumar I watch.
NOT suitable for children under 17. The last 10 minutes are very sweet because it sums up that friendships are meant to withstand the test of time- our protagonists had parted ways and for years had not seen each other so once they were reunited, they realized that a good friend should be part of your life even after you have married and settled down.
