Groucho Marx said that "Humor is reason gone mad.". This is exemplified in every good comedy and from the opening scenes of A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas to the insane ending. You get a resounding cacophony of crazy; a plethora of implausible situations taken to the extreme and a rather astute introspection on friendship and responsibility.

Add a healthy dose of taboo, beautiful naked women and a crude womanizing "gay for ptang" NPH and you get a recipe for laughter :).
