Review of A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures (2010) by Maggy H — 27 Jul 2017
I feel like I'm running out of things to do with my life. Seriously, I need better things to do with my boring life. I should go outside more often. A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures is a cute cartoon.
It boasts an environmentally friendly message and a good amount of educational value for children. Sadly, some amiability can't save the film from a lack of originality, animation that, more often than not, looks like it hasn't finished rendering and the lack of the charm that made Finding Nemo, the movie that inspired it, such a great animated film.
Yes, it often derives from Pixar. It'll keep children entertained and educated at the same time but for me, it felt a lot longer than it actually was. Personally, if I were asked to watch an animated film with thought-provoking messages about the environment, I'd definitely choose either Finding Nemo, its sequel Finding Dory or WALL-E over this one.
Stick with the aforementioned Pixar movie. You know which one. This one kinda sucks. Sorry to break it to you like that.
