Review of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945) by James H — 08 Sep 2009
What an extraordinary film, it's so touching. I could not imagine anyone not being moved by this movie. The entire cast is magnificent. Elia Kazan does an amazing job directing. One if the most remarkable things about the film is that it hasn't dated much at all.
Unusual for 1945. Brilliant in every respect.
