Review of A Touch of Sin (2013) by Nina L — 15 Dec 2013
Once you've seen it, you'll be so glad to live in a Westerners' country where you think that sometimes justice is only an idea. Well, nowadays, in China, it is not even a concept. Perhaps a taboo ideal.
You need to be strong to watch those characters blowing a fuse and killing anyone - after they've been treated as a nobody. The photography is beautiful, the performance of all the actors are great.
Nevertheless, it's very harsh, especially the scene with Zhang Jiayi being hit by a bundle of yuan on the face for two minutes as she refuses to prostitute herself for two men.
