Review of A Time to Kill (1996) by Lydia B — 11 Mar 2009
This is one of those "how many famous people can we fit into one movie" type deals. It's also pretty good, even if the jury's decision to acquit is based almost entirely on some guy giving a really great speech (only in America).
Still, I like the points the movie makes about race ("Now imagine that she's white" sure packs a punch), especially the thing SLJ says about the lawyer being one of the bad guys. I think my favourite part, though, was Kevin Spacey's awesome Southern accent.
