The American South. A black girl is raped by white men and her father then kills them.
A big fat cast of everyone stars in this frankly pointless reimagining of To Kill A Mockingbird. I have little time for these movies as it's too easy to wring sentiment (and awards) from racism and the holocaust.
Spacey is brilliant as the slimy prosecutor, but you can probably already guess how it ends - and you'd be right.
