Review of A Time to Kill (1996) by Travis R — 04 Sep 2010
I found many parts of this movie implausible and unconvincing. I haven't read the book, so I don't know how close the movie follows it. However, most of the courtroom scenes were decent. The movie benefits from a pretty good cast with performances from Matthew McConaughey, Samuel L.
Jackson, and Kevin Spacey. I didn't realize the movie was directed by Joel Schumacher until after I started watching, although this is better than some of his other crap ("Batman & Robin"), I felt he tried to cram too much into this movie.
A mediocre flick.
