Review of A Time to Kill (1996) by Joshua I — 09 Nov 2010
John Grisham's novels are light on drama with rich depth anyways, so it's never much of a surprise when the movie adaptations are lightweight dramas. Despite the talents of Samuel L. Jackson, Sandra Bullock, Kevin Spacey and Oscar-winner Brenda Fricker, the real takeaway of A Time To Kill is Matthew McConaughey, in an early example of his actual acting talents.
He's not only sexy, he's witty and smart. It makes the movie worth watching.
