Review of A Time to Kill (1996) by Kyle J — 10 Jul 2011
I want to stress clearly before I get to the review that we have all seen this movie before without actually seeing it. It deals with racism, over coming impossible odds, a trial that seems incredibly difficult, and *SPOILER ALERT* the result of the good guy winning the case.
Yeah who didn't see that coming? Despite all of that sense of "deja vu" it really is a good movie. But again we have seen this kinda stuff before. I think I've seen about 5-10 movies like this and, don't get me wrong they're all really good, but it's just repetitive.
NOW onto the real review: ok so it's got an all star cast of bullock, spacey, mcconaughey, jackson, and even sutherland. Both of them actually. Yeah Keith and Donald Sutherland both end up being in this movie which is actually pretty cool! So the cast is good, but the idea is what I said above: repetitive.
I mean yeah the drama is really damn good and it makes you feel for Jackson's character really bad. All in all it's good but you have seen this before.
