Review of A Time for Dancing (2002) by Manon M — 09 Nov 2010
This film deserves more attention than it actually received. Well, it is nothing like the book (but isn't the book always better than the film?) but as a film itself it is very beautiful and honest.
Many people think that this film is mainly about the dancing, but the core of this film is the bond of these two friends and how they hold on too each other when life hits them really hard. When Jules starts getting here chemotherapy the film starts becoming pretty intense and achingly sad and I tell you to prepare your hankies.
I was moved pretty much by the these strong emotions, by the passion and the ups and downs of friendship.
