Review of A Thousand Years of Good Prayers (2007) by Timothy F — 02 Jun 2009
The supporting cast definitely drags this film down. The intense drama addresses generational and cultural differences that are relevant beyond the experiences of recent immigrants. Though much of the film focuses on simple and straightforward dialogue, the main actors do great work in portraying the complex tensions eating at their respective characters.
