Review of A Thousand Words (2012) by Nick K — 25 Jun 2012
The film was ok, not a complete waste of time but it was certainly not something that I'm gonna be rushing to see again. This is a classic example of bad execution in hollywood. They took and a very interesting plot and story and loaded it with a bland cast with really dry and pointless humor.
The drama towards the end of the film is decent and believable but thats not really enough to save this film. It tried to be an artsy philosophical comedy filled drama which is really not a good combination in my opinion because that is really hard to pull off.
The first and biggest mistake made on this film was casting Eddie Murphy. And if you want to know if the acting is bad all you need to know is that this film was produced by Nicolas Cage.
