Review of A Thousand Words (2012) by Ike O — 29 Jun 2012
Surprisingly very sweet and warm and funny; simplistic, yes, and largely predictable, but it succeeds at what it guns for, has some genuine laughs, and has a good heart. Its central theme of "the father becomes the son the father" was actually surprising, and worked very well to ground it and make it identifiable and stand out from the general comedic shlock that clogs multiplexes.
