Eddie tries for a Groundhog Day/Bruce Almighty high concept, but the premise fails because Eddie's stock is in fast talking. If this film had a hey-day Steve Martin or someone who can handle emotional drama, it may have worked.
Instead, it leers from brash, OTT screamy/shouty over-egged pudding acting to sentimental, attempting to be 'deep' drama. Neither funny nor deep.
