When Eddie Murphy does his motor mouth routine; the film is standard but mildly enjoyable. When he has to do scene after scene of trying to mime his way to sense; the film falls apart and unfortunately his voice is gone for three quarters of the running time.
A Thousand Words doesn't deserve 0%, but it certainly doesn't deserve a recommendation.
